Situated near to Inkerman Park, Inkerman Ales is probably the smallest micro-brewery in Derbyshire. We started as a fun project to raise funds for Help for Heroes and have progressed from there.
Head Brewer, Darcy Hall, took inspiration from the Battle of Inkerman, fought on November 5th, 1854 as part of the Crimean War. All of our beers are designed around key personalities and features associated with that battle: Commander in Chief Lord Raglan and his wife Lady Emily; British and French Commanders of the Day, General Pennefather and General Bosquet; the Barrier and the Sandbag Battery. Each played an important role in what became known as the Soldiers’ Battle. And to get you in the Christmas spirit, we have the seasonal Stretcher Bearer too.
We hope that you will find one or two favourites.
“Doing our bit” for the Environment
Glass which actually makes its way to a bottle bank still has to be sorted, rinsed, crushed and melted before it can be moulded into new products. The resource is saved, but with an increased carbon footprint.
Here at Inkerman Ales, we will credit your Account with 10p for every undamaged and rinsed bottle of ours which you return. As well as knowing you’ve helped “do your bit”, it could well help you towards your next order…
